Enjoy taking an active role in your child's musical education! Each lesson includes time spent with not only the music student, but with the parent. Suzuki parents attend all lessons and to assume the role of at-home teacher for daily practice sessions.

Please note that prior to beginning any instrumental lessons, parents and students come and observe other lessons in progress free-of-charge for approximately two months, and have an acoustic, in-tune instrument.

Monthly fees for Suzuki lessons include the complete Suzuki package:

  1. Weekly music lessons plus observation time of a partner student

  2. Monthly group class get-togethers

  3. Formal semi-annual recitals

  4. Family membership in the Suzuki Association of the Americas

Fees: Beginner: $80.00/month - Intermediate: $100.00/month - Advanced: $120.00/month

Suzuki Piano and Guitar for ages four and up

Piano studies for late-starters and adults

  1. The same expertise used for piano lessons for younger children is applied in adult lessons. Playing piano takes the same skills, but sometimes it takes a bit more time to find your ideal daily practice routine, your own learning style, and your ideal repertoire. Lessons are tailored to you, while building a foundation of lifelong skills needed for enjoying and accomplishing the pieces you love.

  2. Adult lessons are private, one-on-one, with optional attendance at recitals. Weekly lessons are 45 minutes to an hour long, with a reduced fee as missed lessons are not made up. Adult piano lesson fee: $60.00/month

  3. I recommend visiting an interesting website: Musical Fossils, dedicated to adult piano students.

Suzuki Music Foundations (Suzuki ECE)

  1. This is a beautiful course for parents and children to prepare the foundations for lifelong learning. Using rhymes, rhythms, finger play, singing, dancing, and professional-quality instruments, parents and children participate together in a weekly hour-long class. This course starts with children aged six weeks and is tailored to increase multiple levels of mastery until four years old. Infants enjoy being babes-in-arms for the class, establishing spacial learning, watching older children, and internalizing songs, rhymes, rhythm, routine and expectations. Older children continue to work with parents hands-on, mastering multiple skills during each exercise.

  2. This course is an enjoyable course within itself, although it is geared to establish learning habits and practice relationships needed for formal instrumental lessons. Usually children with 1-2 years of Suzuki ECE are ready to start lessons by age four.

  3. Please note: We are not currently offering this course through Joyce Music Studios, but can recommend at least two other qualified instructors in the London area. Please call us: 519-474-9266 and we’ll be glad to help.
